1. Who we are
Food Hygiene Record Book is operated by Faisal Badshah Creation. The app is a record-keeping tool for food businesses.

2. Information used by the app
The app processes information that you choose to enter, which may include:
- restaurant or business names, locations, kitchen details and supervisor information;
- temperature, equipment, stock and corrective-action records;
- cleaning tasks, initials, names, signatures and notes;
- food-waste records, quantities and costs;
- SFBB diary and four-weekly review records;
- staff training and fire-safety records; and
- an email address when you create or use an optional cloud-backup account.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are permitted to enter information about staff members or other people.
3. Local storage
Record-book information is stored on your iPhone so that the app can work offline. If you do not enable cloud backup, deleting the app or losing the device may permanently remove records that have not been exported elsewhere.
4. Optional cloud backup
If you create or sign in to a backup account, the app uses Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to authenticate the account and store a cloud copy of app records. This may include your backup email address, an account identifier, backup timestamps and the record-book information entered in the app.
Cloud backup is used only to protect and restore app records. It is optional, and the app remains usable without creating a backup account.
5. How information is used
Information is processed to provide app functions requested by you, including saving records, switching between businesses, creating reports, scheduling local reminders and providing optional backup and restoration.
We do not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or use it to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
7. Service providers
Google Firebase provides optional account authentication, cloud backup and website hosting. These services may process technical information needed to provide, secure and diagnose the service, such as request information and security logs.
8. Retention and deletion
Local app records remain on the iPhone until they are removed in the app or the app is deleted. Signing out of cloud backup does not by itself delete the cloud copy.
You can permanently delete a backup account and its cloud data in the app: Home > Secure cloud backup > Backup account > Delete backup account and cloud records. This deletes the Firebase account and the cloud copy of records. Local records stored only on the iPhone remain on that device until they are removed in the app or the app is deleted.
Copies of PDF reports shared outside the app must be deleted from the service or device where they were saved.
9. Security
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect cloud-backup information, including authenticated access controls and secure network connections. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your choices and rights
You may use the app without cloud backup, export records, sign out of backup, and delete cloud-account information in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to request correction, restriction or a copy of personal information.
11. Children
The app is intended for food-business record keeping and is not directed to children.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when app functions or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page.
